We wanted to make our small kitchen one large room across the back of the house. We ended up doing kitchen, with larger bedroom on the second floor and the basement. Lou and his teams were terrific. Lou's attention to detail and his ability to listen to what we wanted and make it look even better than we expected was amazing. While no one likes having to go through construction on their house, Lou made it easy for us! And we LOVE it!

Turtle Contracting Corp. is a first rate company. We were looking into updating our home and was not sure what direction to go with. We contacted Lou, and he came up with a winning design, by adding a new front entrance way, roof eyebrow and raking to the sides of the house. He explained and sketched his concepts to us and we really liked what we saw. Next his team built all the structures with quality workmanship. They also installed new larger window that required a lot of skill and effort.

The job is now complete and we really enjoy the new look of our home, plus we get a lot of compliments from all our neighbors.

Thank you Lou and the entire Turtle team that worked on our home.

Lou listened and custom designed exactly what I wanted and more. His suggestions for adding an extra Gable peak to the other side of the house to balance the look was exactly what was needed and we never would have thought of doing that. The flying rakes he added to the house was also needed for that custom look. I can't thank him enough for his design insight. The crew were professional craftsman, and could not have been more accommodating.

Thanks again Lou and the Turtle crew.

Lou is a friend of the family for over 30 years, Levittown, NY
After a tornado ripped through Brooklyn, yes Brooklyn NY, and our roof suffered some damage, that caused alot of damage inside, Lou ventured to the wilds of the big city!!

The first thing he did was show my sister his business license, and after consultation, and coordination with the insurance company, Turtle Contracting finished the job quickly.

When I first starting thinking about renovating my kitchen I was filled with dread. I had heard such horror stories from my friends and didn’t want to endure those bad experiences myself. That’s why I chose Turtle Contracting to do my work with the utmost of confidence. I had worked with them already on several other projects (bathroom, built-in cabinets, custom moldings) and I knew I had the right team for the job.

Right from the start there was a level of comfort in the professionalism of Lou and his crew. From the design stage, to the demolition phase and right through to the finishing touches he made sure that all my concerns were addressed in a respectful and timely manner. Additionally, Lou always goes the extra mile. He himself is not happy until there is perfection and will not leave a job unless everyone is happy. I would definitely use Turtle Contracting again and will continue to recommend them to my friends and family.

Lou and his team installed new windows and new siding on our house. The quality of the windows and siding offered was superb. They also turned a mud room into a beautiful laundry room, which included raising a floor, finishing walls, running water and gas as well as installing custom shelves and a table for folding.

These jobs were done on time and were done professionally. There was absolutely no stress involved and the price was very fair. Over the last 5 years we have had significant savings on our heating bill as the result of the new insulation Turtle installed as part of the job.

I highly recommend Lou and his team.

Editor's note: Micah, a repeat customer himself, referred Turtle Contracting Corp for four other now-completed jobs, including his own mother, who then continued to use Turtle several times. We won't disappoint you either.

I used Lou back in 2000, and I highly recommend him. He not only listened to what details I wanted, he came up with ideas to further my expectations. He worked very professionally and is very approachable. He is truly a people person, and gives you as the customer the respect and time that is deserved. His finished product was amazing and was top notch, I had no fear that corners were cut that you hear so much about.

I interviewed several contractors, although Lou was not the cheapest nor the highest priced I feel he worked and produced as if he were the most expensive. I went with my gut feeling, and that paid off big time.

Lou, I thank you and your crew for a wonderful job, and a beautiful job you did double dormering my home.

I have always dreaded working with contractors, but Lou, he is AMAZING!!! He was on time for his first appointment, he really listened to what I needed and came up with affordable options to work within my budget. His ideas were very useful and his employee Oran was very respectful. Any requests for changes were handled without any stress and the best part was; he actually called me a few days later to ask if any touch ups were needed. WOW! This was the best experience I had in the 21+ years of owning a home. I wish I had some pictures to post but it was mostly fixing what other contractors had failed to do.

Being an out of town New York City resident and leaving your apartment to the contractor has it's advantages, you're not living day to day on site during the construction and the finished work is a "surprise", however you always worry if the renovation is being done according to the agreed plan and whether it will be completed on time. Lou and his crew kept me informed, finished on time within my budget and the results landed on the cover of the New York Times design section in January 2010.

Thank you Lou and the Staff of Turtle.

Lou and his crew did an incredible job of remodeling/updating/restoring all 3 floors and basement of our 1926 home in Rockville Centre, NY.

They installed a gorgeous kitchen and 3 beautiful bathrooms, hardwood floors, replaced old woodwork, the fireplace surround, removed windows, moved a door...the list goes on and on. The garage became a wonderful "party room" with custom cabinets all set for entertaining...just back the car out and it was "party time!"

Lou is not just a perfectionist...but an artist...when it comes to his work and remodeling ideas. He is fun to work with and the most ethical contractor that you will ever encounter.

Now if I could just get him to do my Dallas house....

Dear Lou:

On behalf of the Wardens, Vestry, Parishioners and Staff of St. Boniface Church,
I wish to extend my sincere thanks to you and Turtle Contracting Corp. for the recent improvements to the Church property.

The workmanship was excellent and it is a relief to have the front stairs of the Church in good repair. And, as you are aware, having a handicap ramp installed by the Parish Office entry was long overdue to make the Church accessible to those who are handicapped by age or infirmity.

On a personal note, I am very appreciative that you have been so generous to our Parish by sharing your expertise and answering the call to good stewardship, providing your time and talents to help us to minister to God's people.
